Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Information entered into a search widget is sent to the provider operating that widget so it can process the request. Bolivar County Court Docket does not store or keep a log of the names or case numbers entered into those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send a message, we retain it to respond and manage the communication. It is not shared outside our organization except when disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Site operation can produce routine technical visit information, including:
- The IP address associated with the visit
- Browser type, version, operating system, and device category
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- The referring page or service, when one is supplied
- Dates and times of page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools may be used to understand aggregate traffic, performance, and navigation patterns. Browser controls can limit cookies. Turning them off may change how some features perform.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and communication data is used for the ordinary operation of this resource:
- Maintaining site availability and performance
- Passing search requests to the selected provider
- Reviewing aggregate use of site pages
- Investigating technical problems
- Delivering advertising that may be interest-based
No Court-Record Data on File
Bolivar County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It provides general routing information for Bolivar County court records, which are held by the appropriate clerk or court. Information about visitors is not assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties, and this resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search widgets are supplied by outside providers. Information submitted through a widget is governed by that provider’s privacy terms and retention practices. We do not control a provider’s collection, sharing, or security choices, so review its policy before entering information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court, clerk, state, federal, legal-aid, or outside search resources. Those destinations operate under their own privacy practices once you leave Bolivar County Court Docket. Read their policies before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may also collect activity across sites for interest-based advertising. That activity takes place in their systems rather than on ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by:
- Search providers that receive a query you submit
- Analytics providers used to assess traffic and reliability
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement entities responding to a valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for the information we collect. Internet transmission and storage carry risk, however, and no security measure can guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor’s information has been provided to us, contact us so it can be addressed.
Your Data Rights
The research for Bolivar County does not supply a Mississippi general privacy-statute citation for this policy. Court-record access is different from visitor privacy: Mississippi Code §§25-61-5 and 25-61-7 provide a public-record access and fee framework, while §9-1-38 marks a judicial-record boundary and §43-21-261 restricts Youth Court access. Those provisions do not create a general visitor-data privacy right here. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask that information be deleted where appropriate
- Opt out of certain processing where an available choice applies
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as practices or services change. The revised text will appear here with an updated effective date.
